Shared Decision-Making Tool
The shared decision-making tool is a vital public health resource created for the California Breastfeeding Coalition, which serves as a guide for patients to partner with their medical providers to make informed decisions about their care. In this specific case, the guide was focused on helping expectant and new mothers to understand their rights, their desires and advocate for themselves in the current culture of COVID-19.
The successful completion of the project required me to create several original illustrations to demonstrate appropriate care of infants, demonstrate infection-prevention practices aligned with CDC guidelines and design a finished guide that was visually appealing to and easily understood by parents at varying levels of literacy.
