"Breast Friends Mommy Group" is a breastfeeding support group, sponsored by West Oakland Health Council. The group was started by the Oakland Breastfeeding Promotion Project to help provide community, information, and support for African American moms who want to breastfeed their babies.
The lactation consultant and breastfeeding coordinator for the Breast Friends Mommy Group, Brandi Gates, reached out to me for an illustration for their group. She wanted a pregnant mom, a mom with a baby, and a mom with a young child pictured in the design, and I used Illustrator to build her an image to use.
The illustration is now pictured on flyers, bags, and internet resources to represent this support group. Since I am passionate about public programs that serve the community I am incredibly happy to be a part of the branding of Breast Friends.
